Dryer Repair in Houston
Frigidaire dryers come in electric and gas models, standard and Gallery lines. We repair dryers that will not heat, will not start, take too long to dry, make noise or trip a breaker.

Common dryer problems we fix
In the order we see them across Houston homes.
Dryer tumbles but gives no heat
Laundry damp after a full run
Dryer will not start at all
Loud squeal, thump or scraping noise
Burning smell during a cycle
Breaker trips when the dryer starts
A dryer is a simple machine: a drum, a belt, a motor, a heat source and an exhaust path. Frigidaire electric and gas dryers fail in familiar ways: worn rollers and belts, blown fuses, heating parts and a clogged vent.
In Houston, laundry rooms are often in interior closets or garages with long vent runs through attics. Lint and moisture pile up there, and the dryer works harder to push air out. A vent nobody has cleaned for years is a common reason for long dry times.
We check the vent and the lint trap, test the heating parts, inspect the drum rollers and belt and check the thermal fuse and sensors. Gas supply work that needs a licensed plumber goes to one. For older dryers, we tell you honestly if repair is worthwhile.

Genuine OEM parts, stocked for the most common repairs.
A written price, approved by you before any work starts.
A 30-day workmanship warranty on every repair.
My dryer runs but does not heat. What fails?
On an electric dryer, a blown thermal fuse, a failed element or a bad thermostat are common. On a gas dryer, the igniter or gas valve coil may have failed. A clogged vent can cause the fuse to blow, so we check airflow before replacing parts.
Why does one load need two runs?
Restricted airflow is the most common reason: a full lint screen, a flattened vent hose or a long, lint-filled vent. We check the vent before the heating parts. Cleaning the vent properly is often the whole repair.
There is a burning smell from the dryer. Is that dangerous?
Stop the dryer, unplug it or close the gas valve. Lint packed in the vent or around the heater is a real fire risk. Leave it off until the vent and heater area are cleaned and inspected.
