PCFI3668A
Frigidaire PCFI3668A 36-Inch Induction Repair

Most common issues on this model
- Induction zone detection and heating response
- Dual Fan Convection motors and airflow
- Backlit LED knob lighting and knob switches
- Cooling fan under the cooktop
The PCFI3668A is a 36-inch Professional freestanding induction range with Dual Fan Convection and backlit LED knobs. The cooktop is built for fast heating and quick cleanup. It is also sold as PCFI3668AF, and it is now an older model that many Houston kitchens still use.
On a wide induction range, we separate cooktop trouble from oven trouble. A zone that will not start usually points to pan detection, a connection or the cooling fan under the glass. Oven issues, such as uneven baking, send us to the two convection fans, the elements and the sensor. Knobs with LED lighting also have their own wiring, so a dark knob can be a small repair.
Control and cooktop parts differ between builds, which is why we start with the plate on the range. You approve a written quote first. If replacement is smarter, we say so, and repairs carry a 30-day warranty.

The LED on one knob of my PCFI3668A is dark. Is that a big repair?
Often not. We check the knob's connector and switch first. Because the knobs also control the burner, we confirm the zone still works before and after we touch it.
Why does a Dual Fan Convection oven bake unevenly?
Either fan may have slowed, or an element may be weak. We run each fan, test the elements and compare the oven sensor with a thermometer before replacing parts.
Do induction cooktops need special pans for service testing?
Yes, a flat magnetic pan. We bring one, so we can test pan detection ourselves and tell you whether the zone or the cookware is the problem.
