What F95 means
Gallery and Professional electric slide-in ranges from 2009, among them the FGES3045KW, FGES3065KB, FGES3075KF and FPES3085KF, display F95 when the door motor never stops turning. After a lock or unlock, the motor is supposed to halt and report that it is done. If it keeps rotating, the control flags F95 and treats the latch as unreliable. F95 belongs to the same later door-latch group as F94. A latch motor that hums on after a clean cycle is the telltale sign.
Common causes of F95
- The door latch motor that keeps turning
- The switch that tells the control the latch has finished
- The wiring to the motor
- The control that stops the motor
1. Press STOP/CLEAR on the control. 2. Turn the power off for 30 seconds, then restore it. 3. Listen for whether the latch motor stops running. 4. If the motor keeps running, shut off the breaker, and do not force the door.
- F95 says the motor will not stop, and that could be the motor, the switch that reports its position, or the signal the control sends.
- We run through those three in turn, so you are not paying for the wrong part.
- Expect a written price before we begin, and a candid word on whether this slide-in range merits the expense.

What is the first thing to try with F95?
Press STOP/CLEAR, then switch the power off for 30 seconds and back on. That lets the motor settle and may clear the code, though it will not tell us why the motor ran on.
Does a motor that keeps running cause damage?
It can wear the latch, which is why we would not let it run. If the motor keeps going, shut off the breaker for the range and call us to inspect the latch.
Do you work on these slide-in ranges?
Yes. We repair them, quote a written price first, and say plainly before starting if a repair is not worth it for the age of the range.
Still seeing F95?
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
