The PCFE3078A is a 30-inch Frigidaire Professional electric range with front controls, built around Air Fry and True Convection. It also carries SpaceWise Expandable Elements on the cooktop and an Effortless Temperature Probe. The same range is sold as PCFE3078AF.
Frigidaire no longer lists it, yet plenty still serve Houston families, usually fitted between counters. Front controls put the touchpad and wiring at the front of the range, so we check for heat damage near the panel. Error codes this model can show
The expandable element on my PCFE3078A heats only one ring. What is wrong?
Usually the inner ring connection or the selector switch has worn out. A continuity test on the element comes first, then the switch and the plug, before any part is replaced.
Food from the Air Fry setting comes out soft. What gets checked?
We confirm the convection fan spins freely and the element behind it is heating, then check the sensor against the oven temperature. Fan wear and a weak element are the common findings on models of this type.
