The freezer side of my GRSC2352AD-C1 is frosting up. What is the usual reason?
Usually warm air is leaking in past a worn door gasket, or the defrost cycle is not melting the coil. The seal is the first test, and the defrost system follows.
Why are the shelves on one side colder than on the other?
Both sides draw cold air from one cooling system, so a weak fan or a blocked vent can starve one half. Fan and vents are tested ahead of the controls.
What does a side-by-side need in terms of installation space?
The doors are narrow, so they open in less room than French doors. The counter-depth body still needs a small gap at the back and sides for air, which we check during service.
