What E93 / E94 means
E93 and E94 are a matched pair of console control codes on the Frigidaire Affinity 6000 and 7000 front-load washers, both the 2006 generation and the 3.5 cu ft washers of about 2009 to 2012. Each says the washer found a problem in the console, the panel that holds the keys, the knob and the display. You may see a washer that ignores the keys, will not begin a cycle or stops with E93 or E94 showing. The code points to the panel circuit and does not single out one part.
Common causes of E93 / E94
- Console board or processor not responding correctly
- Connector or harness between the console and the main board
- Keys or selector contacts on the panel
1. Turn the washer off and on again. 2. Dry the panel and make sure nothing is spilled on it. 3. Try a basic cycle once. 4. Should either code come back, leave the washer off and call us. 5. If either code returns, stop using the washer and call us. A quick note of which code shows helps us bring the right part.
- Both codes point to the console circuit, and neither names the part.
- We check the connections and the console board, then give you a written price before replacing anything.
- On an older washer we say plainly if a new console is not worth the cost.

Why are E93 and E94 listed together?
They belong to the same console control group in the Affinity charts. We handle them the same way, testing the panel, the connection and the board.
Could the main board be the problem instead?
It is possible. The console and the main board talk to each other, so we test both ends before we decide. Our checks cover both the panel and the main board, since they talk to each other all the time.
Will my cycle settings be lost?
They may reset when the washer is turned off. We help you set the cycle again after the repair. We help you set the cycle again after the repair, and the repair carries a 30-day warranty.
