E47 on Frigidaire front-load washers with the horizontal-axis electronic control means the control thinks the door PTC circuit is open during the spin. The PTC is the small heating element that drives the door lock, and the control watches its circuit. If it reads open, the washer may stop the spin for safety. The code appears on the 3.0 cubic foot Frigidaire and Gallery washers from about 2004 to 2006, the Affinity 6000 and 7000 Series from 2006, and the 3.5 cubic foot Affinity from 2009 to 2012.
