FCRS201RF
Frigidaire FCRS201RF Stainless Refrigerator Repair

Most common issues on this model
- Refrigerator that runs yet the food is only cool
- Door that rubs or drags on the frame
- Frost or ice around the evaporator cover
- Fan or compressor noise at start-up
FCRS201RF is a 19.5 cu. ft. single-door refrigerator from the Commercial line, built to food service grade in stainless steel. It is also sold as FCRS201RFB. It is a different number from the FCRS201LF, and the R may mean a right-hand door.
On units like this we look at how the door hangs first, since a door that drags on the frame stops sealing and warms the cabinet. We then check the gasket, the internal fan, the thermostat and the defrost drain. If the unit starts with a loud noise, the condenser fan and the compressor mounts are next to be inspected. An older unit may still be worth keeping, and we tell you honestly when it is not.
Hinges, gaskets and fans are matched to the plate, not to a guess from the front of the cabinet. Our quote is in writing, and we will tell you if repairing this older unit is not the wise spend.

Error codes this model can show
What if the door drags on the frame?
A sagging hinge or a loose mounting makes the door drop and the seal fails. We adjust or replace the hinge and check that the gasket closes all the way.
Why does the unit make noise at start-up?
A loose mount, a condenser fan blade or a weak start relay can do it. We listen to where the noise starts and check each part.
How is it different from the left-hand model?
The door hinge side is different, and hinge parts and gaskets are handed. We confirm the side before ordering any door part. A wrong-side hinge will not fit, and we would rather check the label than guess.
