GHWQ105WD
Frigidaire GHWQ105WD U-Shape AC Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Inverter board and compressor operation
- Louver motor and swing movement
- Wi-Fi control and air quality display
- U-shape installation, window seal and drainage
The GHWQ105WD is a Gallery 10,000 BTU U-Shape window air conditioner with an inverter, Wi-Fi, indoor air quality monitoring and an auto swing louver. It is an older model, and in Houston it is a fit for a bedroom or living room where the owner wanted the window kept clear.
The 10,000 BTU capacity means long run times in summer, so the filter, coil and fan matter. We inspect those, then the inverter board and the compressor, and the louver motor if the louver sticks or stops. The air quality display and the app are tested from the panel first. For installation issues, we check the way the unit straddles the sash and the drain path.
The GHWQ105WD1 is a listed variant. We confirm the complete model and serial from the label before ordering anything, provide a written price first, and back the work with a 30-day workmanship warranty.

Error codes this model can show
The air quality display is blank. Is it a repair?
It may be the sensor, the display or the control board. We test the unit from its panel, check the sensor, and quote any part in writing before we replace it.
Can a U-shape unit be repaired in the window?
Many checks can be done in place, such as the filter, controls and louver. Deeper work needs the unit removed. We explain which is needed before we begin.
Does GHWQ105WD1 use the same parts?
It is the same model with a revision suffix, but we do not assume parts are the same. We read the full number from the label on your unit and match the louver, the board or the filter to that exact revision before ordering.
