GHPH142AA
Frigidaire GHPH142AA Portable Heat Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Supplemental heat element and mode switching
- Inverter board that drives the compressor
- Air quality sensor and app connection
- Exhaust hose, window kit and filter
The GHPH142AA is a Gallery 3-in-1 connected inverter portable air conditioner with supplemental heat, rated 14,000 BTU under the ASHRAE method and 10,000 BTU under the DOE method. It has indoor air quality monitoring and connects to the Frigidaire app, so it serves a Houston room all year, for both cooling and the occasional cold night.
The heat mode adds a heating element and a mode change that a cooling-only portable does not have, so we test both modes separately. We also check the exhaust hose and window kit for leaks, the filter and coil, the multi-speed fan, and the inverter board that drives the compressor. If the air quality display or the app is off, we test the sensor and panel first.
GHPH142AA1 is a variant we handle the same way. We confirm the full model and serial from the label before ordering anything, quote in writing first, and include a 30-day warranty.

Error codes this model can show
Heat mode does not work but cooling does. What do you check?
We test the heating element, its safety part and the mode control separately from the cooling system. The compressor can work normally while the heat circuit stays open.
The air quality reading looks wrong. Is that a repair?
It can be the sensor or the control board. We check how the unit responds from its own panel, then test the sensor, and quote any part in writing before replacing it.
Is GHPH142AA1 a different unit from this one?
It is listed as a variant of this model. Because heat and inverter boards can differ between revisions, we read the number from the label on your unit before we order the part, so that the part we order fits your exact revision.
