FAQG7000L
Frigidaire FAQG7000L Gas Dryer Repair

Most common issues on this model
- Gas dryer that tumbles but the flame never lights
- Burner that lights, then goes out quickly
- Smell of gas near the dryer or the connector
- Long dry times with a clean vent
The FAQG7000L is an Affinity gas dryer in Classic White with a 7.0 cubic foot drum. Another label for it is FAQG7000LW. It is an older model that is still found in many Houston homes, and we repair it when it makes sense.
A gas dryer needs power, gas and airflow together. When the drum turns but there is no flame, we check the igniter, the flame sensor and the gas valve coils in that order. If you smell gas, turn the valve off, leave the area and call your gas utility before you call us. A burner that lights then goes out often points to a weak igniter or to restricted venting.
Before ordering we read the whole data label, the number and the serial together. You approve a written estimate, and the repair is guaranteed for 30 days.

My gas dryer spins but has no flame. What is the cause?
The igniter, the flame sensor or the valve coils are the first suspects. We test each with a meter, and we confirm the gas supply and the venting before replacing parts.
What should I do if I smell gas near the dryer?
Close the gas valve, open a window, leave the area and call your gas utility. Do not use the dryer. After the utility clears the line, we can inspect the connector and the valve.
Why does the flame light and then go out?
A weak igniter may drop out early, or poor airflow may trip the safety. We test the igniter's current and check the vent run before suggesting any part.
