What E41 means

E41 on Frigidaire front-load washers with the horizontal-axis electronic control means the control thinks the door switch is open. The 2004 washers signal door open with four beeps. The code appears on the 3.0 cubic foot Frigidaire and Gallery washers from about 2004 to 2006, the Affinity 6000 and 7000 Series from 2006, and the 3.5 cubic foot Affinity from 2009 to 2012. You may see a washer that will not start, a cycle that stops mid-way, or a door that closes but never registers. These older washers are still in many homes.

Try a second cycle, and watch whether the code returns.
