The GCRE3038A is a Frigidaire Gallery 30-inch freestanding electric range with Quick Bake Convection, a Quick Boil Element, SpaceWise Expandable Elements and a fast steam cleaning option.
Freestanding means the control panel sits at the back of the range, above the cooktop, where heat and steam can reach it. If the display dims or buttons stop responding, we look there first. The oven gets the usual tests: convection fan, bake element and sensor. On the cooktop, the Quick Boil Element and the expandable rings each have a switch, so a slow boil often comes down to a worn switch or terminal.
