Frigidaire Gallery FGAC5044W1 Dehumidifier Repair

Most common issues on this model
- App that no longer connects to the unit
- Humidity monitoring that reads differently from a separate meter
- Bucket full alert that stays on
- Unit that runs but does not collect water
The FGAC5044W1 is a Gallery line, 50-pint high humidity dehumidifier from Frigidaire with Wi-Fi connected controls. It is an older model, and it often serves a large room or a garage where owners rely on the app to watch humidity.
When the app drops the unit, we first make sure the dehumidifier works from its own controls. If it does, the problem is usually the control board, the Wi-Fi module or the home network, and we tell you which one we find. If the unit runs but collects little water, we check the filter, the coil, the humidity sensor and the sealed system.
A control board for a connected unit this age is not always worth buying, and we tell you honestly when it is not. Our written price comes before any work. We take the model and serial from the label to match the board, and our repair carries a 30-day warranty.

Error codes this model can show
My dehumidifier will not connect to the app. Is it broken?
Not necessarily. We check that the unit works from its own panel, then look at the control board and the Wi-Fi module. If the home network is the cause, we will tell you instead of replacing parts.
Why does the bucket full alert stay on?
The bucket may not be seated, or the float switch may be stuck or failed. We check the seating and test the switch, which is a quick check and often settles it.
Does the repair work when only the Wi-Fi part is bad?
A unit can still dehumidify from its own controls with the app down. If you prefer to use it that way, we say so. If you want the app back, we quote the board work in writing.
