FAQG7011L
Frigidaire FAQG7011L Gas Dryer Repair

Most common issues on this model
- Gas dryer that fills the room with warm damp air
- Flame that surges or sounds uneven
- Door light on but the drum idle
- Moisture sensor that ends the cycle early
The FAQG7011L is a Black-finish Affinity gas dryer with a 7.0 cubic foot drum. You may find FAQG7011LB or FAQG7011LW printed on a sibling unit. It is an older model, and we repair these dryers when the work is worth the cost.
Warm damp air in the room is a clue that the vent may have come apart or become blocked, so we start at the connection behind the dryer. For an uneven flame we look at the burner and the gas valve, and for a drum that does not move we check the belt and the start switch. If the cycle ends early, we clean the moisture sensor strips before judging the control.
We note the entire number and serial from the data label first, then match parts to them. The estimate is given in writing, and our labor is guaranteed for 30 days.

Why is the room full of warm, damp air?
The vent may be disconnected, crushed or full of lint. We check the duct behind the dryer and along its route, because a gas dryer must vent combustion gases outside too.
What causes an uneven or noisy flame?
Lint at the burner, a worn valve or low gas pressure can all be causes. We clean the burner area and test the valve and the pressure.
The light comes on but the drum does not turn. What now?
The door light only shows that the dryer has power. We then check the belt, the idler pulley, the start switch and finally the motor, in that order, so you pay only for the part that failed.
