Top-loaders ask less of an owner than front-loaders, but they are not trouble free, and the FAHE1011M proves the point. It is a high-efficiency top-load washer from the Affinity line, finished in Classic White, and some units end in MW. Discontinued by Frigidaire, it still runs in many Houston garages and laundry rooms.

Why does my top-load washer stop when I open the lid?
That is a safety feature. If it also refuses to restart with the lid closed, the lid switch or its strike may be worn. We test the switch with a meter and replace it only when needed.
