FCRG305LA
Frigidaire FCRG305LA Gas Oven Repair

Most common issues on this model
- Corner-to-corner grate seating
- Oval Burner and Quick Boil Burner flame
- Oven igniter and gas valve
- Oven door and temperature control
The FCRG305LA is a 30 in gas range with a Quick Boil Burner, an Oval Burner and continuous corner-to-corner grates, and a version with an F ending, FCRG305LAF, exists. Frigidaire lists it as discontinued, so it is an older range that we repair for owners who still like it.
Corner-to-corner grates cover more of the cooktop than edge-to-edge grates, so they carry more weight and more contact points. If the grates are bent or sit unevenly, burners can end up under a pot that does not sit right. We straighten or replace what is needed, then move on to the burners and their flames. The oval burner is checked along its whole length.
Then we test the oven igniter, gas valve and thermostat. When an older range is not worth fixing, we say so. We read the model and serial from the label before ordering, hand you a written price in advance, and warrant the repair for 30 days.

Do corner-to-corner grates change how the burners are serviced?
Not really, but we have to lift them off and put them back flat. A grate that sits crooked can mislead us about the flame, so we check the fit as part of the repair.
The oven door on my FCRG305LA does not close tightly. What now?
We check hinge tension, the gasket and the latch. A worn hinge or a hardened gasket lets heat out and makes the oven slow and uneven.
Is FCRG305LAF the same range?
It is a version of the FCRG305LA with a different ending. We match parts to the full label so we do not order the wrong one.
