FCRG3015A
Frigidaire FCRG3015A Low-Simmer Range Repair

Most common issues on this model
- Low Simmer Burner holding a small, steady flame
- Sealed burner spark and caps
- Oven ignition and broil burner
- Drawer rails and door seal
The FCRG3015A is a 30 in gas range with sealed gas burners, a Low Simmer Burner and a Store-More storage drawer. It also exists as FCRG3015AB and FCRG3015AW. Frigidaire marks it as discontinued, so we treat it as an older model that is still working in many homes.
A simmer burner has to hold a very small flame, and that makes it more sensitive than the others. A bit of grease in the port, a cap that rocks, or a draft can make the flame flicker or go out. We clean it, seat the cap and test the valve at its lowest setting. If it still goes out, the valve or electrode comes next.
The other burners and the oven get the same check as on any gas range: spark, flame, igniter and temperature. Where an older range is poor value to fix, we say that. We confirm the full model and serial from the label before ordering a part, you approve a written price, and the 30-day warranty covers the labor.

Error codes this model can show
My simmer flame keeps going out. Is the valve bad?
Not always. Grease in the port or a cap that does not sit flat are more common causes. We clean and reseat first. If it still goes out, we test the valve at its low setting.
Is a yellow flame on a sealed burner normal?
A mostly blue flame is what we want to see. Yellow tips can mean a dirty port or poor air mixture. We clean the burner and check the flame again. If you smell gas, turn off the supply and call your utility.
What do the AB and AW endings mean?
They are additional versions of the FCRG3015A in other finishes. We check the whole label to choose parts, since small revisions can change what fits.
