FGHN2868T
Frigidaire FGHN2868T Large French-Door Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Water filter housing and the ice and water supply line
- Ice maker fill and dispenser flow
- PureAir filter and the fresh food air path
- Crisper drawer glides and seal
At 27.6 cubic feet, the FGHN2868T is a roomy standard-depth French door refrigerator from the Gallery line. Features include CrispSeal crisper drawers, Effortless Glide drawers, PureSource UltraII ice and water filtration and PureAir Ultra II filters. Finish variants end in TE, TF or TP.
Filtration is what sets this refrigerator apart for service. The water filter has to seat correctly in its housing, or the dispenser may run slowly or drip. When ice or water seems off, we check the filter age and fit, the supply line and the inlet valve. We also look at the crisper drawers, since a drawer that rides off its glides will not seal. For cooling, we test the freezer fan and the door gaskets.
Filters and valves are matched by model, so we read the label first. You get a written estimate before any work, and a 30-day workmanship warranty starts when we finish.

Error codes this model can show
My water tastes off. Is the filter the cause?
Often, yes. An old filter can affect taste and flow. We replace it with the right one for your number and check the housing for leaks.
Why does the crisper drawer not close all the way?
The drawer may be off its glides or something may be blocking it. We check the glides and the seal, and replace parts that are worn.
What do the letters after FGHN2868T mean?
The ending shows a finish or revision, such as E, F or P, on the same base number. Panels and trim differ between them, while cooling and water parts are shared, and your label tells us exactly what to order.
