On Frigidaire room air conditioners with a digital display, HS reports that the thermistor reading the temperature of the air leaving the unit is not working. The control uses that reading to manage the unit. On older heat and cool models, the same HS code points to the heater thermistor instead, so the exact sensor depends on the generation. You will see HS on the display and the unit may stop or run poorly.
