FAFW4011L
Frigidaire FAFW4011L Black Washer Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Door lock and boot seal
- Control board and display response
- Drain pump, filter and hose
- Shock absorbers and drum balance
Black washers are less common than white or silver ones, and the FAFW4011L is one of them. It is an Affinity front-loader with a 3.65 cu. ft. drum, and versions ending in LB or LW exist as well. It has been discontinued, so matching the finish on a replacement can be a challenge, which is why many Houston owners ask us to keep theirs running.
We begin by confirming that the washer locks its door, fills, drains and spins. If one step fails, we know which group of parts to test. A cycle that never starts points to the latch or board. Water that does not leave the drum points to the pump system. Noise or walking at spin points to the suspension.
Since the finish is part of why people keep this washer, we take care not to scratch the cabinet while working. Parts are chosen by the plate on the machine. You see the price in writing and approve it before we start, and our work carries a 30-day warranty.

Is it worth repairing a black washer to keep a matching set?
Often yes, when the cabinet and tub are sound. We compare the repair with the price of replacing both machines and give you an honest view before you decide.
What makes a washer walk across the floor?
An uneven load, unlevel feet or tired shock absorbers. We level the cabinet, inspect the suspension and check the drum for balance, then explain the repair needed.
Do LB and LW endings change the repair?
They signal other finishes or revisions of the FAFW4011L. Most service steps are alike, but part numbers can differ, so we order from the complete number on your label.
