GMOS1266A
Frigidaire Gallery GMOS1266A Low-Profile Microwave Repair

Most common issues on this model
- Door that does not open fully or catches on the cabinet
- Sensor Cook that ends early
- PureAir filter that restricts air
- Cooktop vent fan that is noisy
The GMOS1266A is a Gallery low-profile over-the-range microwave with 1.2 cu. ft. of space. It comes with Sensor Cook, an included PureAir filter and a zero-clearance door, and it is a current model also sold as GMOS1266AF.
Low-profile microwaves are chosen for kitchens where there is limited space above the cooktop. With less room between the stove and the cabinet, the door and the vent have to work in a tight space. We check the door hinge and latch first, then the filter and the fan, and we look at how far the unit sits from the cabinet. For heating, we test the door switches and the high-voltage parts.
The smaller cavity means less room to work inside as well, so we go carefully. A label check gives us the exact number and serial, and we only order parts after you have approved a written price. The work is covered by a 30-day warranty.

What does zero-clearance door mean for repairs?
The door is designed to open without hitting the cabinet above. If it catches or will not swing fully, the hinge or the mounting height may be off, and we check both.
Will a low-profile microwave still vent the cooktop?
It does include a vent fan and uses the PureAir filter. In a low-profile unit there is less space for the airflow, so a loaded filter is felt more quickly. We start by inspecting it.
Is the GMOS1266A hard to take down for service?
It is mounted to the wall and the cabinet above, so we plan carefully, with a second person when needed. We protect your stove and counters, and we explain the steps before we begin.
