Frigidaire GRFS2023A Dispenser Refrigerator Repair

Most common issues on this model

External water dispenser flow, paddle and spout
Water filter and line
Whether both sections hold temperature
Door seals and shelf drainage

Frigidaire puts the GRFS2023A in its Gallery line as a French door refrigerator, 20 cubic feet, built in standard depth. It has CrispSeal Fresh Crispers, the SpaceWise Organization System and an external filtered water dispenser on the door. A version with the number GRFS2023AF is also sold.

When a door dispenser stops pouring, we check the filter, the water supply line and the valve behind the door, and then the dispenser paddle and spout. A door that leaks cold air also plays a part, so we look at the seals and the hinges. Because this size works well in smaller kitchens, we also check that the refrigerator has room to open and breathe.

The full model and serial number on the label are what we order from. Work starts after you have the price in writing, and it is backed by a 30-day warranty.

GRFS2023AGRFS2023A questions

My GRFS2023A dispenser pours slowly. Where do we start?

Filter first, then the water line and the valve. A cartridge that has gone unchanged for a long time is the most common cause, and the line can be kinked behind the unit.

Will the dispenser leak if the filter is not seated?

It can. A cartridge that is not locked in place may leak at the housing or cut the flow. We reseat or replace it and look around the filter area for drips.

Is this a model with ice in the door?

The listing names an external filtered water dispenser, so we treat it as a water model. If your unit also makes ice, the label will tell us and we test the ice maker as well.
