What F95 means

Gallery and Professional electric slide-in ranges from 2009, among them the FGES3045KW, FGES3065KB, FGES3075KF and FPES3085KF, display F95 when the door motor never stops turning. After a lock or unlock, the motor is supposed to halt and report that it is done. If it keeps rotating, the control flags F95 and treats the latch as unreliable. F95 belongs to the same later door-latch group as F94. A latch motor that hums on after a clean cycle is the telltale sign.

What is the first thing to try with F95?

Press STOP/CLEAR, then switch the power off for 30 seconds and back on. That lets the motor settle and may clear the code, though it will not tell us why the motor ran on.

Does a motor that keeps running cause damage?

It can wear the latch, which is why we would not let it run. If the motor keeps going, shut off the breaker for the range and call us to inspect the latch.
