FGMC2766U
Frigidaire FGMC2766U Oven Combo Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Oven cavity heat and the convection fan
- Microwave heating and the turntable or cavity light
- Door latch switches on both doors
- Control panel response for both appliances
The FGMC2766U pairs a microwave with a wall oven in a 27-inch Gallery unit. The oven below has True Convection, an Effortless Temperature Probe, Quick Preheat and Steam Clean. It is also sold as FGMC2766UD and FGMC2766UF, and it is now an older model.
A combination unit puts a microwave above a wall oven in one cabinet opening, so the two share a trim kit and often a control. That means a problem can sit in one half while the other half works. We test them as two appliances: the oven for heat, fan and lock, and the microwave for heating, door switches and the light. A dead control may be a connection between the two rather than a failed part.
Because the microwave sits at head height, we are careful with the door and hinges. We read the model and serial number off the rating label before we order any part, since combination units use different parts than a single oven. You get a price in writing before we start, and we back the repair with a 30-day warranty on the workmanship. We tell you if an older unit is not worth fixing.

My microwave works but the oven in my FGMC2766U does not. Is that one repair?
Often they are separate. We test the oven heat, fan and lock on their own, since the microwave working tells us power and the control are at least partly good.
Can you repair the microwave half without removing the whole unit?
Sometimes. A door switch or light can be reached from the front, while heating parts may need the unit pulled forward. We explain which applies before we start.
Why is it important to give you the full model number?
Combination units use parts that differ from single ovens and microwaves. Confirming the number from the label lets us order the right part the first time.
