What F21 / F23 (shown as F2) means

On older Frigidaire Professional and Gallery wall ovens that show only F1, F2, F3 or F9, F2 stands for communication problems between boards. F21 is a communication problem with the auxiliary board. F23 is a communication problem with the touch panel board, the glass touch panel. You see F2 and the oven may not respond to the touch panel. These ovens are still in many homes.

1. Press CLEAR. 2. Cut power to the oven for 30 seconds at the plug or breaker, then turn it back on. 3. If F2 returns, call us to schedule service. 4. Do not keep pressing the touch panel, since repeated presses will not help. 5. Note whether the display responds at all. 6. Keep the oven off until we check it.
