Frigidaire PCCE3080A Electric Cooktop Repair

Most common issues on this model
- PowerPlus element that heats slowly
- Bridge element heating in only one section
- Keep warm zone staying cool
- Switch and terminal connections
The PCCE3080A is a 30-inch Professional electric cooktop with a PowerPlus element, a bridge element and a keep warm zone.
A cooktop with both a bridge element and a PowerPlus element has some of the more involved wiring among electric tops. If the bridge heats only one end, we test each coil and the switch contact that joins them. If boiling is slower than it used to be, the PowerPlus coil and its terminal are measured next.
The keep warm zone is checked on its own because it runs gently and its problems are easy to miss. We take the model from the label so the parts match, tell you the cost and begin only after you agree.

What does the bridge element do?
It joins two zones into one long heating area for oval pans or griddles. If one end stays cold, the second coil or the switch that links the zones may have failed.
Why is my PowerPlus element slow?
The coil may be wearing, or a terminal may be loose or burned. We measure the coil and inspect the terminal before quoting a part.
Do you repair the keep warm zone?
Yes. We test its coil, its connection and the switch that powers it separately from the other elements, then quote whichever part has failed before we start any work.
