The GCCI3070B is a 30-inch Gallery induction cooktop with a MatteGuard surface, a 3,600-watt PowerPlus burner and a 2-in-1 bridge element. The BM version is the same model.
The PowerPlus burner works hard when it runs at full output, so we begin with the fan, vents and board if it shuts down at high heat. The bridge element needs both coils to work together, which we test one at a time. A matte surface is easy to keep clean, but it still needs gentle cleaning so the touch controls keep responding.
Induction cooktops draw a lot of power at full output, and we look at the circuit when a cooktop drops out under load. We read the model and serial from the label first, and we never order parts until you have the written price.

Why does my cooktop shut off at the highest setting?
Full output creates heat and a large draw. We check the fan, the vents and the circuit, then test the board that drives the burner.
Do I need special cleaners for the MatteGuard surface?
We suggest gentle cleaners and a soft cloth, never abrasive pads. Residue on the controls can make them respond poorly, so we clean around them before testing the cooktop.
Why does only half my bridge element heat?
One coil or its connection to the board has probably failed. We test each half of the bridge on its own, then together, and quote only the part that needs replacing.
