What Balance Load (advisory LED) means
On the Frigidaire 27-inch electric laundry center FLCE7523AW, the Balance Load advisory LED lights up when the wash load is unbalanced in the drum during the wash cycle. A heavy item, a single bulky piece or a lopsided pile can pull the drum off center. The washer cannot spin evenly, so it may shake, thump or stop to let you fix the load. It is an advisory, not a failed part, and it usually clears when the clothes are spread out.
Common causes of Balance Load (advisory LED)
- A single heavy item, such as a rug or comforter, in the drum
- A small load that bunched to one side
- A laundry center that is not level or is not resting firmly on the floor
1. Pause the washer. 2. Open the lid and spread the load evenly around the drum. 3. Take out one very heavy piece if the load is too bulky. 4. Close the lid fully and restart the cycle. 5. Keep hands clear of the drum until it has stopped turning.
- If the light returns with an even load, we do not know whether the leveling, the suspension or the load sensing is involved.
- We check the level of the unit and how the drum moves.
- If a repair is needed, you hear the price in writing before any work starts.

What does the Balance Load light mean?
It means the wash load is lopsided in the drum. Pausing the washer and spreading the clothes around the drum usually fixes it. Stop the cycle before you reach in.
Should I wash a single heavy item alone?
A single heavy piece often leads to an unbalanced load. Add a few smaller items so the weight spreads out, and do not overfill the drum.
What if it happens with every load?
Check that the unit is level and stands firmly on the floor. If it still happens, call us and we look at the drum and its suspension. We repair older laundry centers too.
Still unsure about Balance Load (advisory LED)?
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
