GCCE3070A
Frigidaire GCCE3070A Electric Cooktop Repair

Most common issues on this model
- Single element that heats unevenly or weakly
- EvenTemp element that cycles on and off
- Backlit knobs and switches
- Wiring at the terminal block
The GCCE3070A is a 30-inch Gallery electric cooktop with five elements, an EvenTemp element and backlit LED knobs. Versions ending in D or S are the same cooktop in other finishes.
Five elements in 30 inches means smaller elements packed close together, so a hot spot or a cold zone shows up quickly. We test each element with a meter instead of guessing which one is weak. If the EvenTemp element cycles on and off during a simmer, that can be normal limiter action, so we check how it cycles before calling it a failure.
For a cooktop where one element does nothing at all, we check the switch and the terminal connection before the coil itself. The model and serial on the label give us the right parts, and nothing is ordered until you approve the written price.

Why does my EvenTemp element click on and off?
A limiter in the element cycles it to hold heat, which can be normal at low settings. If it cycles too fast or turns off at high heat, we test the limiter and the connection.
Why is one of five elements cold?
A burned terminal, an open coil or a switch can all do it. We test the element and the switch separately, then quote the one part that failed.
Are the D and S endings different cooktops?
They are the same model number in other finishes. We read the full label to confirm, so trim and knob parts match what is on your cooktop.
