FPEC3077R
Frigidaire FPEC3077R Electric Cooktop Repair

Most common issues on this model
- Bridge element that heats only one section
- PrecisionPro control knobs and switches
- Keep warm zone not holding heat
- Indicator light that stays on or does not light
The FPEC3077R is a 30-inch Professional electric cooktop with a SpacePro bridge element, PrecisionPro controls, a keep warm zone and an indicator light.
A bridge element joins two zones for a griddle or a long pan, which means extra wiring and a switch for the joined section. If the bridge heats at one end only, the second coil or its switch is where we look. We also test the keep warm zone separately, because its low output hides a weak connection.
On the Professional line, the controls have a defined feel, so a knob that no longer clicks cleanly usually means the switch behind it has worn. We start from the model label, check the element and wiring, and quote the work before we begin.

The bridge element on my cooktop heats only one side. Why?
The bridge joins two coils through an extra switch position. If only one side heats, the second coil or that switch has probably failed. We test both before quoting.
Why does my indicator light stay on?
The light should follow the surface temperature. If it stays on after the glass cools, the indicator circuit may need a check. We confirm the surface is cool before inspecting anything.
Is the Professional line serviced differently?
The repair steps are the same as other electric cooktops: element, switch, wiring. What differs is the part numbers, so we read the label to be sure the order is correct.
